I have an 89 K1500. The gauges are green because of the green plastic that runs around the bulbs (to pick up the light) and carry the light to the different areas of the intrument cluster. You cannot remove the plastic because you will have dark areas where there is no bulb. Also you have no needle in the gauge, the background rotates to show oil pressure, gas, temp,volts, and speed.
Does anyone know if there are years that the cluster will plug into an 89 that has a tach? I heard any year up to 94 would plug and play but it won't because the main plug in pins are different.
