id have to look at my box but i believe i have my hypertech set at these settings:

87 octane tune
rev limiter: 6200 (factory was at 5900)
shift points: 1-2: +200 (puts it around 5800 or so)
2-3: +200
3-4: +100
shift firmness: 50% (should be an increase of %50)
gears: N/C
tires: N/C

the print out i have states redline is at 5900 Rpm on a 4.3 as well. so taking it up to 6100 rpm is not that big a deal since you wont be at that rpm for a long time.
if you have an auto transmission the shift points should work fine. all i did was go out on a highway and stomped it from a dead stop and then wrote down roughly at what rpm the transmission shifted at. then i added +200 rpm to them and then did the same thing and it dropped back into its power band insted of dropping below it. you might have to do this yourself to see how it will feel on your 4.3.

as for shift firmness, that is personal preferance. i like a firmer shift than stock and 50% gives it to me. you might be ok with 25%, you will have to drive the truck some to tell what setting you like.

good luck
