Default Just bought a 99 GMC 2500 6.0... What to look for?

I just picked up a 99 GMC 2500 with a 6.0 4x4 and an automatic trans. The truck has 132,500 miles on it, and it in relatively good shape. The previous owner had it for 6 years, and maintained it well. I paid $4,600 for it. It does have a clatter/clunk coming from the steering column, so I dug around and found out it was the intermediate steering shaft, so I ordered a new updated one. Other than that, what should I be looking for on this truck that is often in need of replacement? I am not looking to get into serious mods with this truck, just to keep it reliable. Yes I am a nube in the GM market, but have fumbled my way around auto mechanics for years. Let's hear what you all think!

i have a 99 silverado 2500 6.0 2wd with 245,000 miles on it and it still runs good the previous owner was a comoany that did interstate work so most of the miles are hwy
when i got the truck i changed the following
oil filter (i recomend every 3,000miles with 15w 40 and a wix filter)
fuel filter(i recomend eery 30,000 miles wix brand)
air filter(regular filter every 10,000 miles bout to put a cia on it tho)

about to change
spark plugs(i recomend every 100,000miles acdelco brand)
trans filter(i do mine around every 100,00miles imo)
breaks(when the break pedal is to light)
everything works 100% and i dont have no jumping or shaking or anything
as long as you take are of your truck it will take care of u
u should be able to get another 100,000 miles out of it

i would start with fuel filter and change it at 15K intevals, never letting fuel get below 1/4 fuel.
I have a 2000, 2500 and the fuel pump when at 45K. gm tech told me about the 15K filter change and fuel level.

the torque converter when in my truck at 75K, the 4l80e transmission must have a weak torque converter as mine had never pulled more than 6500# and had not pulled that much.

I would drain trans and change filter, then drain again in about 5K, then drain again in another 5K and you should have most of the trans oil changed. Do not believe i would have it flushed as you do not know when it was last serviced.

Mine would be good for a flush as it was fully serviced when it was down for the new torque converter at 75K.

might change power steering fluid and brake fluid.
