I was just wondering if anyone could tell me if 35x12.50 tires would fit on my truck with only a 3" body lift? or would i hafta go a lil higher? it's a 98 silverado z71..

They might, but probably barely. They would also wear the hell outta your front end. If you did it you would want to go with a less offset rim, pretty much a stock rim. It doesn't put as much of a pulling action on your suspension. If you go with like a 33 inch tire though your front end would be just fine. I know a 33 inch tire will fit with a 3 inch body lift, might have to adjust your torsion bars a lil bit but they'll fit. Just don't crank those bars too much. I've seen em' twist before.

thx for the info... how big of a lift would be needed for the 35x12.50's to be on without tearin up the front end or scrubbing? or would 33's be better all the way around? j/w...

Yeah 33's would be better all the way around. A guy at work has some 33's on his truck and he has a 2 inch torsion key in the front and block lift in the rear, with a 3 inch body lift. You might be able to get away with just a 3 inch body lift though. Torsion bar keys don't cost a lot, but you might be able to adjust your torsion bar keys up enough to clear them and not even need the aftermarket keys, just don't crank them too far and be careful when you adjust the bolts. I'd suggest lubing them down if they are hard to turn. Mine were pretty easy to turn but I lubed them down with penetrating oil anyways. Those 35's would probably tear your front end up unless you have a 3/4 or 1 ton.
