Default need help..truck will not start

I replaced my ball joints on my 2006 chevy silverado 5.3 2wd this weekend. I reconnected the battery and truck fired up like usual a couple of times that night. next morning i went out and when i turn the key all the electronics come on but when i keep turning to start the truck nothing happens. the battery is charged, I tried to jump it also to make sure. I checked every single fuse on the truck. the only thing that happend out of the normal is the positive hit the negative and it sparked but for less than a second when i was reconnecting the battery. Ive been told check the grounds and the neutral safety switch, which I checked those out and didnt see anything wrong. Any suggestions or ways to troubleshoot it??

Could have blown the computer. But sounds more like starter relay or fuse.

So the cables shorted before or after you had already started it?
If it started after you shorted them, then its unlikely that had any impact...
I would go with the previous recommendations and verify that the starter relay.

It may be worth while to have the battery load tested to make sure it didn't coincidently go south...
