my 350 engine with 82K miles was making a ticking noise on drivers side. I changed oil and added 1 qt of lucas oil stablizer, noise is gone,

but this old engine has had service ever 5K, valvoline 10w40 and wix oil filter, so guess it did does not have bad cams and it holds about 50 psi oil pressure at 55 mph.

some semi truck owners would not let you change oil in their big rigs without adding 1 ga of lucas to the oil.
i think it help, but others call it snake oil, who knows.

i have been putting lucas oil stabilizer in the high mileage trucks (over 800K miles) and have had no problems. i don't call it snake oil i call it engine honey cause it poors like honey

Lucas definately helps on a high mile engine.

Just don't overdo any lifter/pushrod/rockerarm adjustments. The motorpool agrees it's better to hear them slapping a little than to overtighten the valve train and start scorching valves...
