Default I have a question about oil pressure, oil pump

Friday coming home from work when I was sitting at a red light my oil pressure gage zeroed out and my check gages light came on. Now I notice while im driving its not all the way up like it use to be, its in the middle. Truck is running fine, have noticed any change in the way it runs. It is a 93 Chevy Silverado, 350, 5.7 liter. With almost 250k miles on it. Thanks for any input.

Possibly the wire at the sender(look down by your oil filter)is loose. Possible the sender(@11$at the parts store) is bad. Possible it's a bad engine-to-frame ground strap.

Three easy-to -fix things you can check out yourself.

You should have someone perform a mechanical oil pressure test

MDTAHOE's right, it's well worth the cost to be sure.
