Default question about crossovers in duals

I put duals in my 87 chev R10. Someone said I should put a crossover pipe in to equal the exhaust pressure. Was wondering if thats true and if the benefits are really worth the work it'll take.

well, just went ahead and did it, glad I did, the truck sounds much better, more of a even deeper tone than a raspy sound, also a very noticable difference in power.

Yeah I've hear the crossover pipe can help with equaling the exhaust and back pressure. What motor are you running?
