Default rechargeing a/c in 91 c1500 350

can i use a simple 20 dollar kit from autozone? ive read that since its older then 1995 i cant use it. thanks guys

if its R12 no you cant. if its been updated to an R134 A/C system, you should be good to go.

yes i know they are r12 to begin with but how will i know if its newer will it say on it?

If it has been updated by a reputable shop, big word for me, there will be a sticker on the fan shroud, or the frion resevoir will have one. If theres nothing saying "R134." chances are its not. Any shop that does A/C work can update it, I'm not sure of cost though.
