remove factory installed xm antenna?

just bought a 2005 silverado crew caband it has the xm antenna mounted on the roof. is there a way to remove it?

I believe you have to drop the headliner and remove some hardware from inside.

why do you want to remove it?
do you realize that there will be a hole in the roof once removed?
