Timing 350 throttle body
I have a 95 Chev 4x4 2500. The motor has a rattle to it, its loudest when coasting and noticeable when accelerating(I dont hear it at lower than 50-60 kmh) Sounds like timing to me. Before I attempt to put a light on it I need to know if It can be adjusted in the first place. It has a distributor cap so Im assuming for now that the timing can be adjusted. Is there anything I should know before doing surgery
Much thanx in advance for any info

One thing you need to know is you must disconnect the electronic spark control. It is a brown wire with a black tracer (stripe) the connector is either along the wiring harness that runs across the fire wall on pass side(sometimes under the plastic cover) or beneath the glove box. Base timming is 0 degrees. Dont forget to reconnect brown wire after setting the timming.

I couldnt find any module under the hood so I followed the wiring harness under the dash, opened up the glove compartment and it all leads into my computer. There are about 40 wires going to it but one light brown/w black strip does have a pigtail, (photo 1 closeup) I would just like your best judgement if this is the correct wire. Photo 2(pigtail is circled yellow) is the computer module where all the wires lead to.

You are not looking for a module, just a connecter that seperates the wire. With the motor running when you break the connection it will slow down a lot. Yes base timming is with the wire disconnected.
