What size is stock exhaust for my truck?
I just bought a 1998 C1500 extended cab 5.7 and was wondering what size exhaust it has? I see there is 2 catalatic converters then 2 pipes going to muffler then one bigger one going to the tailpipe. I want to change out muffler to a magnaflow. Anything would help thanks!

I have the same exaust my solution was to cut out the old muffler and install true dual exaust with 2 separate mufflers 3 inch inlet 2.5 out mainly for performance reasons and back pressure being someone removed the catalytic converters but if I had the cats I would have just gone 3 inch in and out hope this helps

Exhausts have to be specially engineered or designed by a specialist who does exhausts.
If you get the wrong wrong one your valves will pull wrong you'll damage your engine.
USE OEM or at least "exact replacements" only.
I worked at a dealership and whenever a motor with THROWN RODS CRACKED BLOCK or serious engine problems came in, often with a crying customer: it was someone who toyed around with the "exhaust"

Wrong answer
I had to make an account also just to let you know this is complete BS. Dude... You really should refrain from commenting on things you know nothing about. This is all nonsense and lies. You did succeed at exposing yourself as an idiot. Don't know why people want to spread false information but here it is.
