Default 01 4WD PU Starting Problem

Hi You All:

Thanks for any help you can give. The truck will sometimes not start, especially on a hot day. After waiting a while it usually will, but the security light comes on a good bit and stays on when I am driving. The garage has looked at it twice but says it can't help me because nothing shows up in the codes. Last time the light said "change the oil " so he just reset it because I still had a thousand miles to go. The "security light" comes on and stays on, especially after I have had a starting problem. I keep it full of fuel in case that would helpcool the engine. I have forgotten to check the amount of miles, probably around a hundred since it is a 2001. Any ideas? Most of the men I have taken it to just tell me that it will do that sometimes and to just turn the truck off and restart it. I cannot seem to make them understand that it is a seriousproblem for me.

The security system disables the fuel pump when it's tripped, so since you say the security light comes on often, you probably have a problem within that system. That would at least be the first place to look.
