Default 03 bose system into 02 silverado?

I have a 2002 Chevy Silverado, and I want to buy my friends Bose System from his 03 Avalanche.

Will it be possible to pull my whole system with speakers and change it out with the 2003 bose system?

Maybe with a conversion kit and wire harness, if this is possible a site with the kit would be awesome.

?thanks miles

you shouldn't have a problem with it, in terms of a new harness I'm stumped. See if this one will work.

The only reason I ask is because my friend used to work for chevy and he said that the units changed in 2003. So it may not fit. Besides it appears to be slightly larger because the head unit on the bose system has a 6 disc cd changer.

If I have to have the cord that you posted its really not worth it, the whole head unit, speakers, and amplifier I'm buying for 100$ cause he doesn't want it to sit in his house anymore.

So paying almost 200$ more to make it work is worthless seeing as I can buy a system from work for 200$ with everything to install included.

Chevy dealership service department told me that you cannot install a Bose system in a non factory installed Bose vehicle. Chevy has some kind of agreement where they are prohibited from doing it aftermarket. I guess if you got ALL the wiring in one piece, and the amp from its hidden location, and the radio, and the sub and re-installed it exactley the way it was hooked up it would work. But I guarantee you its not hooked up like a traditional system, no telling where the wires are drawing power and signal from. I was also told the rear speakers were powered from the subwoofers amp, so you have to use the subwoofer and its tricky wiring. I was going to do it myself, but decided not to mess with it.
