I am having some oil pressure issue with my 03 silverado 1500 5.3 motor..about 4 month ago i noticed my oil pressure dropping to about 20 psi and starting to tick..Took it to shop and told me i need a new motor..After talking with my dad and a few other ppl it was suggested i tried oil pump first...so as of yesterday there a new oil pump in my truck...i put in a performance pump to push more oil throw..(not sure if that was a good idea or not or if it didnt matter) as i was driving it yesterday i notice oil pressure when accelarating go almost to 80 psi...and slowly drops...my concern is after about 20 of driving it seems like it slowly droping below 40psi..is this a normal thing? is the motor junk? Any help would be appreciated thnks
