These are a popular overall, all-around, all-purpose gear.

Decent low end torque, but revs on the highway isn't horrific, either.

If you do most of the utility functions of a pickup, and don't grow

your suspension and tires too large, you should be happy with it.

If you go to a new gear set, most guys "skip" a gear, for example

if you have 342s, you don't see a dramatic difference with 373s.

With 373s you would want to jump to the @430s range, but highway

performance is going to suffer. As long as you don't do a lot of interstate

travel,it shouldn't be an issue.

I do a lot of highway driving. But I'm also lifted running 35's. Would I notice a difference in MPG and torque with 4.10 gears? Or should I not even bother. It is 4wd so I would have to do both axles.

It's kind of hard to mix the two types-highway and off-road.

373s is probably your best bet.

2000$ IMO, would be wasted on new gears.

You're going to suffer on the highway and in the dirt to keep the compromise,

which unfortunately, you're already doing now.

I embraced the highway side of my build by going for 342s, and kept my stock

tires. I don't use anything which would be used off-road, to preserve

my highway mileage and smooth operation on the road.

But I'm sure my truck sucks, in the mud.

If you want off-road, AND highway, it's going to get costly. (sorry)
