Default 04 silverado electrical ghosts

Having trouble with my 04 4x4, lose radio occasionally, dash lights, also hear static crackling noises from speakers even with key removed at times, have also lost cruise before, Help Im scared!!!! Any ideas anyone?

check all of your power and grounds carfully. A bad ground can cause an electrical nightmare

Hey macdaddy777,

Welcome to the Chevy Forums.

The engine /firewall ground strap on my '04 is a raving aluminum POS. You can try to replace the old one,(good luck) or you can go from the passenger side head to any one of a half-dozen bolts on the passenger side firewall with a standard 4 gauge copper negative cable.

If that's the ONLY ghosts you're having in your '04, you're not doing bad.
