I would like to know how to fix this issue I have been having with my 04 Silverado.
she stalls after a few minutes of drive time.
I live on the other side of my town while my mother is on the other side. I drove there today Monday April 19th I had made it to her parking lot and then my truck shut off.
what could be the cause of this?
I need y’all’s help new truck owner!

 

stalls when? when coming to a stop? while cruising? stalls when stopped idling? If the check engine light is on...post the codes. post the engine size

 

It stalls when it is stopped Idling and sometimes while driving. Today is stalled while trying to park in my moms parking lot. The check engine light was not on. I am not sure where to find the codes and how to tell what size engine my truck is.
I am a new truck driver my husband got a new truck with taxes and gave me the 04 sliverado. So I am a newbie when it comes to this stuff.

 

try cleaning the throttle plate with air intake cleaner and an old toothbrush.

make sure all the vacuum lines are connected and the induc tion hose from the air filter to the throttle body has no air leaks.
