So you replaced the alternator and still have the Battery light on?
Did you have the battery and alternator load tested?
It's plausible that the alternator was bad, and damaged the new battery you put in, now you are back to a bad battery...
It might be worth a trip to the dealership service department to have them check the electrical system out... I would avoid the auto parts chain stores for this troubleshooting...

I had the original alternator load tested at a professional shop and they said it was good. The battery light is slightly on in the mornings when the headlights are on, but it is off in the afternoon.
