Default '08 2500HD Opening in firewall for wiring to dash?

We have an '08 Silverado 2500HD Z71 LTZ Crew Cab with Duramax. I'm in the planning stages of installing HF/VHF/UHF amateur radio equipment in cab and want to wire directly to the accessory battery under the hood. Is there anyone out there who knows if there is an access plug in the firewall that I can run my single pair 10awg power cord through or am I going to have to drill through the firewall? Thanks for your help..Steve KO4QT

In an 07 NBS 1500 there is one behind the junction box by the left foot of the driver.

Did you ever end up finding a spot to bring your wires through, the reason I ask is I need to run a coax for my cb.

Default No Fix idea's yet

No one has come up with an idea here on how to get through the firewall yet. I'll most likely end up drilling a hole in the passenger side firewall about 6" or so above the floor bottom. I'll then install a groumet in the hole, run the wires, then seal the hole with silicone caulk. Unless I hear a better idea real soon that is..
