I searched the forum for this but couldn't find it so if its a duplicate, I'm sorry.

I'm looking into swapping my 4.3 for a 4.8 and was wondering if the engine mounts were the same since its a small v8. Hopefully I wont have to, but I also wanted to know if I'll need to change the tranny or if its the same. Just want a little more power in the truck, not too worried about MPGs, its already low so surely it can't get much worse.

 

I think the mounts are the same...I hear a lot of people goin from a v6 to a v8 with no problems. Just have to get all the wiring harness and ECM programmed for it. I'd go for a 5.3 or 6.0 for the extra power though
