08 chevy 6.0 tuned

has anybody had there truck tuned by a computer,if so any change in mpg?

I did on my 5.3 and got 3 mpg out of it...my dad got his 6.0 tuned and saw 2.5 when it was first done but not drives like a bat out of he'll and it's back to where it was
