12 bolt swap

fellas,
is it possible to swap my 10 bolt rearend in my 06 1/2 ton truck for a 12 bolt without changing the driveshaft and if anyone has done this how much trouble is it

now i hear 14 bolt is the way to go but is lug an option with this application and if so will it bolt right up ie. shock mounts / leaf springs

i forgot the 6 for 6 lug
