Default Are 1500 models available with a 5.3L that does not have ecotec?

Are any of the 1500 models that have a 5.3L available WITHOUT ecotec? What about the 6.4L?
I have a 2021 now that does NOT have en ecotec engine and looking down the road a bit, deciding whether to just keep mine forever or possibly trade in at some point..

If I remember right, all Chevrolet/GMC 1500 trucks with the 5.3L or 6.2L engines use some kind of EcoTec technology. If you really want to avoid EcoTec3 entirely, I'd suggest keeping your current 2021 model or going with a different engine, like the 4.3L V6 or the 3.0L Duramax diesel.

Not possible. The 2019 Silverado has an L84 5.3L Ecotec V8 engine. All Gen V engines are ecotec.

I think you are confusing ecotec (it's just the name of the engine family) and GM's cylinder deactivation technology, ie Displacement on Demand (DoD), Active Fuel Management (AFM) or Dynamic Fuel Management (DFM).

There were some models during covid that didn't get AFM due to chip shortages.

If you don't want cylinder deactivation then you'll have to get a diesel engine, or a van.
