It may have a three speed with a lock up converter or a 700r4 with an over drive .
700r4 has a lower first gear ratio.
I use to work at shop an the transmission shop we used would remove the 350 lock up
and install a regular non lock up converter transmission .
The 700r4 with the updates and mods would work fine .
