1986 chevy k30 6.2l diesel
I whent today to look at a 1986 chevy one tone SRW pickup, it has a strong running 6.2l diesel, and tranny, but it has 203k miles, and needs basically every piece of sheetmetal replaced, including(rockers, front/rear fenders, floorpan, and a few spots around the bottum of the windshield) my question is basically what should i do, the guy wants $3k for it, and just put brand new stainless dual exhaust, and a brandnew COMPLETE right down the the booster and lines brake system, I guess i wanna know is it worth replacing all the metal, and fixin it up...? thanks for anyhelp!
IMHO..."RUN Forest RUN",,,The engine is past it's normal life span...With all that rust? How bad do you hate yourself. Remember that a project like this requires 3 things Lots of $$$$'s,Lots of TIME and Patience, and Lots MORE $$$$$'s.
i have got the 6.5 it is the turbo version of the 6.2 and my truck dont even have anuff power to pull it self and i got 33s on my truck i only payed 2k for my truck it is a 1996 k1500 no rust with the 6.5 turbo diesel 144,000 miles so if i was u i would not wast your money
