1987 305, advice needed
Back a year ago, I bought an '87 Sierra with an EFI 305 with 151k miles. It had a bad smoking problem and we finally decided to start looking into repairs. The oil rings are trashed so we plan on changing them but I heard the heads need remachined. Anyone have any advice on getting them remachined or go get another motor (i found a few around my area) and drop it in? Note: we paid $1000 for it
