I was reading a thread from "shawnvw" and i would like to know if anyone can tell me why the air does not blow out of the a/c vents as well as the defroster vent. I saw a part in "lmc truck" parts catalog and it was called the " air door actuator ". Is it possible this could be the part i need to fix my no air blowing problem ? The air from the lower heater section blows hard and good. Please help me...i really am lost.

I'm pretty sure this is the part you need. I have been told that the plastic gears inside the part strip out after awhile. I have a 1990 Silverado and had another problem that required I checked out that part.

You can remove that part and disassemble it to see if the gears inside are bad before you buy the replacement.
