I have a cherry 1989 C1500 sport truck that sits in my garage most of time. I take it out occasionally on the weekends during the warm months, but it sits all winter except for an occasional rare drive. Most recently, I hadn't started it for about 3 months, and when I tried...nothing, I can hear the fuel pump priming, but there is no solenoid sound when I turn the key. Anybody have any ideas where I can start to look? Plenty of juice in the battery.

 

Sounds like a bad starter.

 

it is tricky to do but you have to see if the start terminal on the solenoid is getting juice when the key is in start

 

Take you a hammer and try taping the starter while someone tries to start it
