1990 chevy hard start and rough idle
hi all
i have a 1990 chevy 1/2 ton 4x4 pickup. 5.7l v8 with auto tranny. problem...starts real hard when cold and i have to feather the throttle for a minute before it will idle on its own. if not let to warm up, when i take off driving, it will hesitate horribly unless it is at WOT, then it does just fine. once warmed up, it will start, idle and drive just fine. there is a check engine light on so i pulled the code...which came up "general sensor error". i dont remember the code number off hand. i tried a new TPS, tune up, fuel filter and coolant temp sensor. it reminds me of an old carb engine that had a manual choke that wasn't hooked up and you had to sit and babysit it till it warmed up.
anyone got any ideas??? need to get this fixed asap. thanks!
