Ok i dont know if this has happened to anyone else. I have a 1990 Regular cab K1500 Silverado. Just recently the parking brake light came on but the brake is not engaged. I tried engaging it and releasing it to make it go off but it will not come off. Now my back rear is not grinding but sounds like something is nicking a spinning wheel. Like a quick knick grind if that makes any sense. Anyone else have this problem before and know how to fix it?Im trying to get it ready for beach hopping this weekend.

 

I'm not too sure about the sound because my 92 is kinda loud, but I am having the same problem with the brake indicator light. It has been on for months and I have done everything I could think of

 

better pull the wheel's and drum's on the rear and give it a good look to make sure you don't have a caliper or drum problem .

 

Check the brake fluid level.....they use the same light
