1991 K1500 Starting Issue
I have a 1991 K1500 that I bought last winter and I have had a few issues as of lately. I recently had the battery go bad and the cells froze, so I replaced the battery today and started the truck and it sounded good. I had the truck running for roughly a minute before I shut it off. I went out to start my truck about 2 hrs later and it started but sounded really quiet and chugged like a tractor. I decided to shut it off and then try again about a minute later. It then wouldn't start but it was turning over and firing ever so often. I tried it about 5 hrs later after talking with my step dad over the issue and gave it some gas thinking it was starving for fuel maybe? I tried that and it fired more but wouldn't start. I can smell fuel so i know its getting to the engine and i replaced the spark plugs, wires, distributor cap, rotor and coil this summer and so I doubt that it is electrical. Does anyone have any advice?? Anything is appreciated!
