I think that shifter is as manual as you can get on an Automatic. Are you thinking about changing out to a full manual shift ?

Promising ride !!
Great deal !!

Having something operated electrically, is not a problem concerning EMP's.
It's stuff that is controlled/operated by a computer/digital circuits that would be effected.

For instance, Electric Fuel Pump, Head/tail lights, stuff like that are ok.

ok i knew lights and battery's would. i know that leds wont survive. so i guess my tranny would be ok. i intend to set the truck up with a main and aux power on/off switches like military or aircraft would use. then bypass the starter system and run the starter from a button. i also know that hid lights wouldnt survive so i intend to find a light that mimics hid if possible

I'm uncertain about the LED's and HID's ability, but, your only option is to go with incandescent (like standard head/tail) lights. They draw a lot more power, but if you run into trouble there, you can up your Alternator to accommodate. Also, you could mount Incandescent on a rack or bumper as a backup to your standard system. Remember you'll have to pass Vehicle Inspections if they're required where you live.

Not sure just why you're wanting to run a dual system for your ride, or, use a button instead of the standard Ign Switch. Neither of these will be effected by EMP, you doing it for some other reason ?

UNDERSTAND THIS !!
I'm not condemning your project in any way. We're here to support you and your ideas in every way we can. I'm just trying to see how/why you want to do things a certain way.
