i am looking at adding a hd front bumper. maybe from a wrecker. how can i beef up to front end to handle the extra weight?

Customarily those type bumpers don't weigh enough to do anything drastic to the front suspension. The suspension is usually rated (load capacity) well more than one needs. Some bumpers (the more sturdy) rely on diagonal bracing back to the frame. If you install one, I'd wait and see just how much effect it had on the front end height and make corrections if necessary.

Might think about a Wench as well. They can be VERY handy at times

good idea. lol. im not sure on bumper type yet just that it needs to be able to survive a road block if needed
