have problem getting up to speed on highway thought transmission trouble . no lights on dash.At a stop put in drive and power braked it and slowly increased the throttle and then started missing.

 

Start out with new spark plugs and wires.

 

did that new plugs cap, rotor, wires tps module. still bogs even in neutral wont reeve past 3 thousand rpm?

 

New coil pack with all that?

also have you checked the manual adjuster on the throttle cable?


also for shts and giggles, while it is running spray around the intake with carb cleaner, if the idle changes when you do that your intake gasket is kaput, if not then that gasket is not the culprit.

 

found the problem.....the catalytic converter!!!!! cut it off replaced it

 

My husband has a 95 silverado, with a loss of power going up hills and normal acceleration. It will idle and purr like a kitten, but when you step on gas it wants to bogg down and try to cut out.
