Mine had a problem starting in cold weather, turns out that was the fuel pump, but sounds like you may have a different problem. Just a thought

Yea I need to check fuel pressure when cold out and check for vaccum leaks and pressurized radiator to check for leaks in the coolant system

Checked fuel pressure is ok around 60 psi and coolant system checks ok where to go from here? Only happens when cold outside and will go full throttle and idle with no problem its the steady acceleration where it acts up

Is there any check engine light? I am curious, the MAF sensor is heated, that would affect fuel schedule.

Sometime in the morning I will get p0300 only if I keep holding a steady throttle at any rpm but will idle perfect and if I stomp it in park or driving will rev and go just fine. Lunges and sputters when driving normal acceleration during cold mornings or days. Warm outside problem seems to go away. I've swapped the maf with one that was on my 1999 GMC Sonoma 4.3 and didn't change anything. Wouldn't think both would be bad?

Niether would I. Need a definative about cold vrs. warm weather, does this problem only occur when cold? After the engine is warm, does it not have this issue? P0300 is general misfire, is that the only code it shows? Do you notice any condensation on the coil packs when it is cold?

It has distributed cap and button which is not wet when cold and yes I'm pretty sure about the cold weather because it can warm up in the*mornings and still act up just not quite as bad but still noticeable till it warms up outside above 65 f or so. That is the only code besides an o2 sensor which has shown up since I bought the truck 3 years ago and only comes on every once in awhile

Have a smoke test done to see if there is a crack in the intake manifold, or other vacuum leak, that can throw off the fuel metering. But I would fix the problem with the o2 sensor first, possible that the o2 sensor has been an unnoticeable problem, and has just gotten worse.
