Default 1996 C-1500 Steering issues?

I have a 1996 C-1500 Extended Cab 5.7l with about 164,000 on it. I was wondering if anybody else is experiencing steering issues like myself? It seems that when you turn it sharply it feels real funny and feels like it's catching and pulling a little bit. I think this is the best way that I can explain it. I didn't know if this was a common issue or one that was just singled out with mine? It's a two wheel drive 1500.

Is it a 4x4? If so and it's worse when in 4 wheel drive its common. If you turn to sharp it will bind a bit.

I'm sorry, I forgot to specify that it's only 2 wheel drive.

I would check your ball joints. It can feel very weird if they are wore out. Other than that I'm at a lose. Hope you get it figured out.
