I have a 97 Silverado that the heater control will only control the blower speed and hot and cold. The a/c will not work and I cannot change vent position. I put another control in and everything worked fine for about 10 minutes. Then it started to smell like burning wires and I am right back where I started. Any help would be great. Thanks!

I have the same exact problem with my sierra.. were you able to fix your problem.. ive also replaced the ac control and i was also told to replace a resister behind the glove box but that didnt fix the problem.. im stuck with no ac and its hot outside.. please help with any info thanks
