1998 silverado problem

1998 silverado problem
I have a 1998 silverado it runs fine running around town as long as you are easy on the gas but when you try to give it alot of gas (pass half throttle ) it wont go pass 3000 rpm and it acts like it doesn't have any power other than that the truck runs and shifts threw all gears fine any ideas before i start replacing parts tia

I'd check the fuel pressure both running and key on ignition off any thing below 50 psi when running is not too good...
