1999 1500 4.3L starting problems
Hello, my truck has the 4.3L v6 engine in it. It skipps a little when i first start it up until the engine get warm. If I let it sit a whole day without starting, when I do go to start it the engine doesn't want to start. it just turns over until I let go of the key it spits and pops. But after several times trying it it will finally start up and runs alright. And every time I try starting it after that it starts up just fine unless I let it sit for another day without being started. Does anyone have a solution for this kind of issue? Thanks.

Sounds like the gas is draining back into the tank. T%hen when you try and start, it has to pump it all the way from the tank. The check valve in the fuel pump assembly is bad. Either change the complete fuel pump or put a check valve in the fuel line.

i had the fuel pump replaced and all that really did was fix the fuel guage. the next thing they wanted to try was the replace the entire intake. i got tired of spending money on it and the shop not fixing it. they just keep trying things. so i decided to check with some people on here and see if anyone has had the same problem or new somebody who had the same problem and knew what to do to fix it. any other ideas other than the fuel pump?
