I loaned my truck out and got a call today saying it would not start. For the past month or so it has been slow starting, and the battery was just replaced a month ago. as it was slow cranking it always started up. today when i got to the truck it was just clicking the starter, so i went and picked up a new starter. I put the new starter up and it did the same thing. I dropped the inspection cover and the bendex was still engaged. I slid it back and tried to start it again and the same thing. I dropped the started 4 times and the same outcome each time. Any ideas? Going to take the old and new starters to have them tested in the morning.

 

Got it fixed, it was grease and oil under the starter. was not getting a good ground.
