Hi all.
I have a 1999 Silverado with the 60/40 front seats. Cloth, not power seat. The driver's seat slides back and forth, and will not lock in place. I think it has more to do with the lever on the side that unlocks the seat to slide forward to let a person get into the back seat. I took the seat out, and found this small plastic part in the right rail that was broken in two. I took it to the dealer, they said I have to order an entire new seat ($700). I am trying salvage yards, no luck. Any thoughts before I weld the sucker in place?

check with another dealer. I had a 99 that did that too and they fixed it and did not put a new seat in it. try a junk yard that is self service. I was at a couple yesterday and saw some 99 and up.
