I found a 1999 silverado v8 ext cab at this buy here pay here lot near my house the guy is asking 8000$ on it which i expect to pay a little more that what its worth because he is financing it for me anyways it has 116k miles the pain and body are in good shape i drove it and everything worked great besides the passenger window which he said he would fix and it pulled a little to the left he also said he would fix as well... My question is it really worth 8 grand ?? and are theyre any common problems

 

I know from a recent experience when i took my 99 silververado EXT cab V8 back to the local GM dealer for a front end alienment they replace my tailgate cables undera recall. so i would recemmend if you buy it take it to the GM dealer and ask about it. I live in canada and i did the math and my silverado has 149828MI on it and it runs like new... lots of power, great truck for 4X4ing as well.... when i bought mine i was a bit unsure if i would love the truck... man do i love it... so much power so quite when driving, huals *** with heavy loads on it. couldn't ask for a better made truck.... Just asking does it have a 5.3L?

 

I would be concerned with the pulling , do youself a favor and ask for a CARFAX report, if he balks.......Walk away. That's a premium $$$$$$$$$$$, JMHO.
BTW, go to Kelly Blue Book and list the mileage, look for price from INDIVIDUAL or PRIVATE party. Silverado package will include a lot of add ons.

I have an extended cab 99. Runs like new. 165,000 miles on it. Never thought it was worth $8,000. Check it out on Kelly Blue Book.

 

If it is 4x4 then i would say yes only if it is awesome condition. A two wheel drive that guy is out his damn mind, but if a four wheel drive and is in superb condition besides those two flaws which he said he would fix then i don't think its "too" bad. I would try and get him into the $7000-$7500

 

Hell no lol I paid 3k for mine 4x4 z71 2005 Eng in it with 23k miles

 

Kbb has it at like 4-5k
