1999 Silverado Z71
My problem is this. All of the lights on my push button FWD panel are lit. When I start the vehicle there is no problem. WITH THE FUSE IN, as I begin to drive the vehicle it will misfire/backfire, shutter and shake like you are riding a bucking bronco. You can feel the FWD trying to do something and not completing its job. At around 30mph, the problem slowly quits and the truck runs good until you come to a stop. Then when you take off it all starts again. Although, WITH THE FUSE OUT, the truck starts and runs fine. There is no lack in the power terrain.
Something is not communicating like it should. From what I can remember the codes that were pulled a while ago stated that the TCCM is not communicating with the Encoder motor.
Replaced so far. Button, front axle accuator and the Transfer Case Control Module, all to no avail.
The problem just started one day when I started the truck.
Need a good starting point.
Cannot find anything on-line that will help with my problem.
