Question 2 important questions

my first question im buying new tires for my truck 275/70/18 on stock wheels i know i may have to do minor trimming...but will it rub control arms or anything without wheel spacers??...second question i have an 08 5.3 105k miles and its burning a lot of oil...almost 3 qts per change i can tell when it begins to get low because it begins to tick...and then knock loudly on occasion after getting off the highway...but if i turn it off let it sit a while and start it again the knock goes back to a tick....any ideas??
