Default 2000 Chevy Silverado 1500 Won't Start

My truck was recently giving me trouble starting and then a day or two latter I was filling my fuel tank up and when I left the gas station it would only go about 15-20 mph or so. I got it home and now it won't start. I pulled my fuel filter and replaced it, still won't start. I believe it is a fuel problem. Can someone help, thx

Can you hear the fuel pump kick on when you turn the key on? Maybe the fuel pump went out on it.

Default won't start

It won't even start up. I just checked and when you turn the key on you can't here the ful pump. I didn't know if there might be a relay or a sending unit that went bad. I ca buy a f/pump tomorrow at NAPA but just wanted to make sure before I spend 400.00 on it, Art

artimious7. The best way to know, if you have a fuel pump problem go to buy on auto parts store a Quick start, and desconnect a vacuum hose to connect to the intake manifold spray 4 times the fluid and be sure it's going into the engine, crank the engine if the engine start and running for a few seconds it's a fuel pump problems, it's not you'r problems it's a ignition or electric.
Good luck

fuel pump, or a relay or fuse. Most likely fuel pump. Hopefully relay.

If there is fuel in the tank, it could be a bad fuel pump, or clogged. Also if you have not change the fuel filter, do it. Check if you have spark going to the plugs. These are the most common causes for a vehicle not starting.

I have a 2017 Silverado and if I open the drivers door after it's been sitting for 8+ hrs and do not hear the fuel pump priming....that little humming sound...then I know it's not going to start. Driving me CRAZY!!! It's been to the dealers several times and they cannot find anything wrong. Ready to junk it!!!
