Default 2000 silverado 4.8

So I have a 2000 silverado 4.8 the motor blew I got another 4.8 the original one had a flush cam and a cupped flywheel the new motor has the extended cam with a flat flywheel but the holes don't line up on the torque converter it's off by a hair, so what do I do is there a special flexplate or a special torque converter or do I just oblong the holes in the flat flexplate? Any help

I would not oblong the holes. You need to get the correct flexplate. Can you take the flexplate from the old motor and put it on the new motor?

No the old one os dished new one is flat because of cam flange. The flat flexplat is off maybe a 1/4 of the bolt the dished one creates a 1/2 gap between motor and tranmission and pushes the torque converter in so hard the motor won't turn over

What about getting a torque converter to match the flat flexplate?

It's an option just have no idea if itd fix the issue, I'm tempted to try to just redrill the holes and weld washers to make them round and in the right spot, anything is better then it is now I have cupped flexplate with spacers between motor n tranny, not smart I know but can't afford for my truck to sit
