Default 2000 Silverado Antenna Replacement

My husbands 200 Silverado's antenna has broken off. I'm looking for suggestions on what antenna to replace it with and any information on how to replace it!

You mean the stud broke off that the antenna screws into? I am pretty sure that will be a dealer part. If you just need an antenna, I am sure your local parts store has one that will fit. it just screws on light a light bulb

Don't go to your local Wal-Mart and buy one of those crappy "whip antennas", you are better off going to the dealer, it will not be cheap, but replacing the stock antenna, it comes with the cable, tape and zip-ties, everything you need to replace it, then it will perform just like it did from the factory.... Hope this helps...

CD/MP3 players eliminate the need for an antenna.

I agree 100% with Blindsight on this one. Pre-taped music is the only way to go. If you need news, get a CB. Then you'll have a new antenna on purpose.
