Question 2000 Silverado Rear Rotor issue

Hello,
First time visiting the forum. Have scoured the internet with no success on my issue so I was hoping to gain some knowledge here. I have a 2000 Silverado 1500 4x4 LS with the 5.3 motor. I live in Western New York and it has been driven in this area for it's entire life. So anyone who is familiar with what the underside of my truck looks like. It is rust...and corrosion. I removed my bed to replace brake lines. Brake lines lead to caliper/rotor/pads/parking brake shoe replacement. My question is in regards to the parking brake replacement. My passenger side rear rotor was very difficult to remove so i did what i thought was best and pounded it off. What i did not know is that the reason behind my rotor being stuck was the parking brake shoe being fused to the inside of the drum. So by manhandling the rotor off i ruined the parking brake shoe. So i went and replaced everything. Right now i am trying to get my rear rotor back on and it appears as though the parking brake shoe is in the way again. I have adjusted it to as small as it can get and my rotor is still getting hung up. I have detached the parking brake cable, compared the new part to the part i took off (everything is the same). I am lost as to what to do next. Any help will be appreciated.

the brake cable is disconnected but is the ebrake lever at the backing place moving. they corroded and stick on. They need to be removed cleaned and brake lubricant applied.

remove the levers, end caps and the metal slug in the cylinder. reassemble an adjust the star wheel so the shoes to fit inside the hat of the rotor.
