Default 2000 silverado theft lock radio reset

Hello guys,

New to the forum and have a question.

I have a question regarding the theft lock for the radio. I had my battery replaced today and my radio is locked. Is there a way to reset my radio before Monday, when the dealer is open? I never realized how much I listened to that damn thing until it wasnt there anymore.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

I dont' know if their are any other ways cause the only way I know is to reprogram the radio with the tech.2 which is what the dealer is going to do.

You may want to consider an aftermarket radio if it is going to lock itself everytime the battery is going to be disconnected, and you can't reset it yourself. I only say that cause I don't see any dealership doing anything without making you spend some money. By the 2 or 3 time you would have spent just as much for a decent aftermarket radio.
